The beginning of the end, or the start of something incredible? Journalists are calling it the "Heroic Age": a surge of superhuman activity following the Chitauri Invasion in May of 2012. From super-powered professionals to amateur enthusiasts to members of the ever-growing mutant population, code names and capes have become a global fixation, or some say an epidemic with immediate casualties. Heroes and villains duking it out, unpowered fanatics and untrained metas trying their hand at heroism, and enough innocent bystanders to leave the world tottering on the edge of a potential disaster. Despite the warnings, the thrill is still there, the adrenaline rush that inspires the young, and the righteous, and the reckless to stand, even in the face of such an uncertain future.
