Two years have passed since the newspapers had reported the suicide of a fake genius and the equally tragic suicide of a beloved actor named Richard Brook, the coverup Jim Moriarty, criminal mastermind, had used for his Great Game with Sherlock Holmes.

Jim's right hand man, Colonel Sebastian Moran, had soon found out though that Sherlock was not as dead as most believed but during his attempt to finish what his deceased employer had started he found himself caught by Mycroft Holmes, who hoped to get concrete information from the sniper that would allow him to clear his younger brother's name.

However - what Moran did not know yet was, that Jim Moriarty too had faked his death and had at this moment returned to London to pick things up where he had left them.

So with Sherlock's name yet to be cleared, the consulting detective has to watch his step while Jim is kept busy finding a way to return his second in command to his side.
